The Muntjak is a Cervid that lives in couples in habitats with dense vegetation and rarely abandons its territory. It reaches up to 1 mt of length and can weigh 10-18 kg. The male has two little horns that reach a maximum length of 15cm and superior canine teeth that develop into fangs which are used by males to fight during the mating season. It lets out a sound similar to the barking of a dog.
The species is endangered due to hunting and destruction of its habitat.
