The wallaby red necked is a mammal of the order of Marsupials. It has gray-brown hair.
It stands erect by resting the weight of its body on its hind legs. It can jump as far as 7 meters and as high as 2 meters. When it walks, it also leans on its front legs. The females have a large pouch on their bellies in which the newborns find refuge once born.
Like all marsupials, the newborns are born at an early stage of their development and once in the pouch they stay there several months until their development is completed.
