DISCOVERING THE WOODS
Duration: approximetly 4 hours
including 1 hour of break

Often children go into the woods, but it is difficult for them to recognize that life lives in these places. This program explains to them what the woods are, how they change during the seasons and who inhabits the woods. In the laboratory, with the help of slides, a naturalist will put the classic cartoon images next to the images of the real inhabitants of the woods so that mushrooms, squirrels, butterflies, fawns and hares will acquire a new appearance to them. During the lesson, some traces often left by animals will be shown. Footprints, horns, antlers, undigested food, nests and eggs.
