The horns are present only in males, they are long, rolled up in wide spirals and ploughed with folds; there is an evident difference of the fur color between the two genders. In fact, females are ochre furred, males are dark with blackish back and sides.

Subordinate males are lighter furred compared to the pack leader. Only after becoming a leader, a darker color is assumed and horns grow.
