  • Smaller then the Mute Swan, the Black Swan is distinguished by the length of its neck and Its relatively small head. Its feathers are almost completely black with the exception of some dorsal areas that are white.

    It has red circled eyes and a red beak with a white spot on top. Mating occurs from August to December and takes place in large nests that are protected by vegetation. The female lays 5-7 eggs.
